Word Problems

Word Problems are sentence sequenced problems in which you are needed to find something such as a cost, or maybe the distance of the object of transportation (ex. Car, Plane, Train, Boat...etc) Example of these word problems below!
1) Plane flies 900 km with a tail wind of 3h. Later, the same plane flies the same path at 4h over the 900 km against the wind. What is the speed of the plane with no wind?
When trying to figure out the equation, you need your X and Y to represent info you don't know.

X=the speed of the plane with no wind

Y=speed of wind in km/h (kph)

So....... You plug this into formula now and the rest of the stops are shown in the image!

2) The Sum of the digits of two-digit number is 12. If the digits are reversed, the new number is 36 more than the original number. Find the original number.
